J&K Govt Postpones Holiday in Kashmir Province
Government Adjusts Holiday Date for “Urs-e-Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani” in Kashmir Province
In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s General Administration Department has issued an official notification (Government Order No. 1224-JK(GAD) of 2023) announcing a modification in the date of the provincial holiday dedicated to “Urs-e-Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani.”
This alteration serves as a partial amendment to the previous Government Order No. 1596-JK(GAD) of 2022, which had set the holiday date on December 30, 2022.
The revised date now designates the holiday to be observed on 13.10.2023 (Friday), a change from the initially scheduled date of 11.10.2023 (Wednesday) in Kashmir Province.
This decision, made by order of the Lieutenant Governor, has been taken to ensure the smooth and appropriate celebration of this significant occasion.
Residents and officials are encouraged to take note of this adjustment and make the necessary arrangements in their schedules.
